Mountain Hero

This isn’t how it was supposed to be.
My move to the small town of Bliss was supposed to be a new beginning.
It was everything I’d dreamed about—the quaint downtown, a cozy little house to make my own, and miles of Vermont wilderness to explore just minutes away.
I never expected my dream to turn into a nightmare.
The man who seemed so nice in the beginning turned out to be anything but. So I broke it off, ignored his pleas to forgive him, and moved on with my life.
Except he wasn’t going to let me go that easily.
