My lawyer said don’t do anything stupid.

Almost setting fire to my kitchen probably fell into that category. And now the firefighter next door is breaking down my door.

He’s hot and young and carefree. Everything as a single mom I don’t have time for.

He should be running in the opposite direction. Instead, he keeps showing up, offering his help.

But I’m in the middle of a custody fight. I can’t afford to let him become a distraction, and I can’t afford to make a mistake that could cost me my daughter.

I should be smart enough to stay away, but apparently, I’m my own worst enemy
