Page 26 of Enticing My Off Limits Billionaire

Trip is at my shoulder now, though, taking me by the elbow. "Sophia and Bryn are wondering where you ran off to," he says. "Let's dance."

I let him pull me back to the dancefloor, my phone going back into my back pocket. I join the three of them, and we all start dancing together; and I fall into the enjoyment of moving my body, swaying my hips, letting my hands skim down my sides. I have another few drinks...and my head gets fuzzy.

Trip is dancing with Sophia and Bryn, and I end up joining the three of them. Trip is respectful, not touching me...until I ask him to. I put his hands on my hips as we sway to the music, the bass pounding in my ears, and then I imagine that he's Quinn—imagining that Quinn is here with me, touching me, pulling me close. I bite my lip as the sensation flickers over my skin, driving me crazy.

I open my eyes and see Trip.

"I..." I pause. "I've gotta go pee."

"Okay!" he says, totally unperturbed. "No worries."

"Do you want some company?" Sophia asks, grabbing my elbow.

"Sure!" I shout back.

We cut through the crowd toward the bathroom, and the bass recedes as we join the long line to get in. I reach into my pocket to grab my phone as we settle in with a row of other women. Quinn has texted me back—Have a great night, Madison. You deserve it.—and my fingers fly across the touch screen as I respond.

You should come out and join us.

What the hell am I doing?

"Ooh...texting a boy?" Sophia asks, peeking over my shoulder.

I shut off my screen quickly, laughing. "Maybe."

"Did you ask him to come out?"

I nod. "Yep."

My phone buzzes.Where are you?

My heart thunders in my chest. I was convinced he would say no... but this seems promising.

The Schoolhouse in Greenwich, I text back.See you soon?

Sophia is at my shoulder, and I hear her gasp when his name pops up. "Quinn Young?" she asks. "From the White Oak?"

I blush. "Um...yes. Nothing's going on, though. We're just friends."

It's after midnight now. There's no way he's going to come out.

Be there in a few, he texts back.

I hold my phone to my chest, my face flushed as I look back at Sophia. She's got a skeptical look on her face, her lips curled in a smirk.

"You like him," she says.

I close my eyes and sigh. "Yes...I like him. But please don't tell anyone. I shouldn't have even invited him out—"

"You Sterlings and your forbidden fruit," she laughs—and I know she doesn't mean it to, but the comment hurts. "Don't worry, Madison. Your secret's safe with me."

I nod, grateful for her understanding. My eyes flick back to my phone, and I make a decision. I take a deep breath and turn to Sophia.

"Can you cover for me?" I ask. "I want to go outside and wait for Quinn."

Sophia grins, nodding. "Of course. Go get your man."

I roll my eyes, blushing again. "He's not my man."
